Biography 

I have been working in the Skin Cancer Unit of the University of Bologna in the past 20 years, following patients from the first diagnosis of the tumor, the surgical procedures and the follow up. Now I am the responsible of the Melanoma Unit; Dermatology and a Mohs surgeon. In our Clinic and Dermatopathology laboratory  we receive more than 300 new diagnosis of melanoma every year. At the moment we follow 3000 patients with a previous diagnosis of melanoma . 

I have been trained during my residency and my three years PHD program on Mohs surgery. I have a strong background in oncologic dermatology with a special interest on melanoma and have been collaborating with the pathologist and the molecular biologist. During my research activity, I developed a significant experience in oncologic dermatology and Mohs surgery as stated by more than 200 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
