Biography

Barbara Boone was trained as a dermatologist at the Ghent University Hospital. During her training, she obtained a PhD in medical sciences following research on prognostic markers in melanoma. In addition, she was trained as a dermatosurgeon and obtained the 'Diplôme Inter-Universitaire de Dermatologie Chirurgicale’ in France. Hereafter she completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery at the Ghent University Hospital.

She currently works as dermatologist and Mohs surgeon both at the Ghent University Hospital as in a private practice.
