Biography:
Adam J. Tinklepaugh, MD is a dual board-certified dermatologist and dual fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon and cosmetic dermatologic surgeon in Fairfax, VA. Dr. Tinklepaugh graduated from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, and completed his dermatology residency training, Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology fellowship training, and Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery fellowship training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. He is a clinical assistant professor of dermatology at George Washington University School of Medicine and is a fellow of the AAD, ACMS, ASDS, and EADV.
Dr. Tinklepaugh has performed over 10,000 cutaneous surgeries and has published 17 peer-reviewed articles, authored seven textbook chapters and has been an invited presenter at local, regional, and national meetings.
Dr. Tinklepaugh began his career as an assistant professor at the University of Utah School of Medicine Department of Dermatology in Salt Lake City, UT. In 2022, he returned to New York City to serve as the Assistant Fellowship Director for the Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology fellowship program at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center. In 2024, Dr. Tinklepaugh established a private dermatology practice in Fairfax, VA, and continues to educate and train dermatology residents.
